MAGREM Engineering Services is a specialty engineering firm with deep expertise in steel construction engineering. What sets us apart from a typical full service engineering firm is our practical understanding of the entire steel construction process, from estimating and purchasing to detailing, fabrication, and erection. This hands-on knowledge enables us to deliver steel design solutions that are not only structurally sound but also highly constructible and fabrication friendly.
We have extensive experience supporting estimators, detailers, fabricators, and erectors. Our principal engineer has designed thousands of structural steel connections for high profile projects, including stadiums, data centers, airports, and commercial buildings, as well as complex renovation work. His portfolio includes uniquely engineered monumental stairs, hundreds of linear feet of custom glass and railing systems, and the resolution of countless field challenges. He is also highly experienced in value engineering and design assist collaboration.
Our work has been reviewed and approved by many of the most respected structural engineering firms in the United States, including Thornton Tomasetti, Magnusson Klemencic Associates, BuroHappold Engineering, WSP USA, AECOM, Bechtel, Jacobs, ARUP, Parsons, Leslie E. Robertson Associates, Simpson Gumpertz and Heger, Ysrael A. Seinuk P.C., SILMAN, Severud Associates, and Walter P Moore, among others.
We are committed to delivering high quality work you can count on. Let us know how can we be of help.

At MAGREM Engineering Services, connection design is at the core of what we do. With deep expertise in steel construction engineering and a strong grasp of fabrication and erection processes, we provide connection design solutions that are not only code-compliant and structurally sound, but also highly practical for shop and field use.
We think backwards. We start with the end in mind. Before putting pen to paper, we first consider how the connection will be fabricated and erected. This approach ensures our designs align with real world conditions, helping reduce rework, minimize field adjustments, and improve overall efficiency.
Our designs reflect a clear understanding of constraints such as material availability, detailing limitations, fabrication preferences, erection sequence, and field tolerances. We work closely with fabricators, detailers, and erectors to ensure every connection is optimized for safety, cost efficiency, and constructibility.
Whether for high-profile structures like stadiums, data centers, airports, or commercial buildings or complex renovation projects, our experience spans thousands of connection designs, including moment frames, braced frames, trusses, complex node joints, and custom conditions.
Every connection we design is backed by a clear understanding of the entire steel lifecycle, from bid to bolt.

At MAGREM Engineering Services, we provide specialized engineering support for miscellaneous metals, including stairs, railings, ladders, platforms, and other custom architectural or functional metal elements. While often considered secondary to the main structural frame, these components demand a unique blend of engineering precision, material knowledge, and constructibility awareness.
Simple as they may seem, stair and railing systems involve complex design considerations such as code compliance (IBC, ADA, OSHA), material behavior, connection detailing, and architectural intent. Designing these elements requires a deep understanding of trade specific fabrication methods, load paths, deflection limits, and coordination with finishes and surrounding systems.
Our team has engineered hundreds of linear feet of glass guardrails, custom handrails, monumental stairs, feature stairs, and more, ranging from straightforward utility installations to sculptural centerpiece elements. We support fabricators with complete design packages that include calculations, sketches, and coordination support tailored to meet both aesthetic goals and fabrication/erection practicality.
Contact us todayI have had the pleasure of knowing Rajed in an engineering capacity over the past 10 years. His knowledge of engineering, especially steel connection design in my case, is nothing short of exceptional. From steel design to fabrication/erection and detailing Rajed's knowledge seems to be limitless. His attention to detail, and the quality of his calculation presentation is unmatched in the steel industry. In 2014 I was hired as a consultant on the USTA Grandstand project in New York, NY by an east coast US fabricator. Rajed was the fabricators in-house connection designer, and it was my responsibility to work with Rajed and review his connection designs. It was projects like this that I realized Rajed was, and is, an exceptional engineer, young man, and all-around great person. I highly recommend Rajed.
As V.P. of engineering for a steel fabricator, I had the pleasure of reviewing a vast number of connections designed and detailed by Rajed. Rajed command a piercing knowledge of the technical aspects of connection design. He also shines in his ability to deliver complex connections that are friendly to both the fabrication and erections processes. I highly recommend Rajed's connection engineering, detailing and fabrication support services.
Rajed was always the go-to when difficult field conditions or unexpected problems needed a quick engineering review and fix. During the past years when we worked together, I’ve watched him constantly tackle complex issues, whether it’s getting redesigned column connections to account for misplaced or even missing embeds, providing details to stiffen a stair stringer that was cut into by others, or just providing calcs for a Rev0 drawing set. He was always a key team member and crucial to keeping the field guys working and busy. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of working with Rajed, and I know that anyone that works or will work with him will, too.
